The 2020 GMA Artiste of the Year and Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene, has disclosed how his father gave up on him in his teenage because he thought he had nothing ahead of him in regards to the future.
He indicated that his father decided to stop giving him money for his upkeep because he was very stubborn when he was at the age of 13 years old.
Speaking in an interview with Stacy Amoateng on Restoration, the singer revealed that his father stopped supporting him when he was in JHS because he thought he’s not the kind of person he would come up with something but was supporting his other siblings.
The singer added that the reason his father disliked him was that he wasn’t taking his academics seriously and the whole family is clever but for him, he was chasing something else.
Kuami Eugene noted that because he was raised in Fadama his stubbornness level was high so as a parent you need to be tough to handle him.
He emphasized that his mother became popular in the community because she goes around game centers in search of him always and with that his mother is everything to him.
