Kofi Kinaata sets a new VGMA record

multiple award winning songwriter, singer and rapper Kofi Kinaata sets new record at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards – this definitely has gone into VGMA’s history.

The Fante Rap God and a prolific musician, Kofi, has won the VGMA songwriter of the year for a record third time with his smashing hit single, “Things Fall Apart.”

He becomes the first artiste to win this particular award for the third time beating Kojo Antwi and Okyeame Kwame who have all won it twice.

Kinaata first won it in 2016 with his hit single, “Susuka” and won it again in 2017 with “Confession”.

Tweeting after receiving his award, the excited Kinaata wrote:

“First time in the history of #VGMAs! An artiste has won this Songwriter Award for the 3rd time ✌🏾+☝🏾= 3 Thanks to God! 🙏🏾 Thanks to all my fans worldwide. #TeamMooove”
